As an affiliated faculty member at the Media Education Lab, I’m facilitating a free webinar series about the unique role that librarians and library workers can play in leading digital and media literacy programs. Across the Leading from the Library series, we’ll explore a range of opportunities and challenges for librarians who are leading or hoping to lead digital literacy initiatives, including how to get started, partnering with learner-leaders, identifying partners, and more. Among the questions we will explore together are: What unique ‘flavors’ do libraries bring to digital and media literacy learning? What creative solutions are librarians exploring to engage learners? And (how) is AI shaping the conversation about literacy in libraries?
